Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under direct supervision of an RN or supervisor. You will collect patient data, assist in assessments, and deliver care per the plan and clinic policies.

Strong communication, teamwork, and EMR proficiency are required. Daytime hours with potential flexibility, and a focus on quality improvement projects are part of this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a practical nursing program or passed LPN boards; if graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience may be required.
• Additional qualifications: one year LPN experience in last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; team environment experience; computer skills with EMR systems.
• Ability to work daytime hours; flexibility may be required; adapt to unpredictable situations.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LPN provides nursing care under the supervision of the RN or supervisor and accepts delegation to meet patient/family needs.
• Collect data via observation and communicate to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
• Deliver care per the care plan, policies, and relationship-based care principles; participate in committees or quality projects.
