Job Overview

Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) provide practical nursing support to deliver quality care in a physician practice or clinic setting, under the direction of the physician or mid-level practitioner.

Responsibilities

1. Complete patient assessments, including vital signs, chief complaints, and medication reviews.
2. Prepare patients for provider evaluation, assist during exams and procedures, and handle specimen collection.
3. Administer medications and injections as directed.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work, exam, treatment, x-ray rooms, and labs.
5. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
6. Provide patient education, including lab results, medication, and diet instructions.
7. Assist with referral and pre-authorization processes.
8. Support lab procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or eligible for Virginia licensure.
• At least 1 year of experience in a physician's office preferred.
• Current Virginia LPN licensure and BLS-HCP certification.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills.
