Job Description

Villa St. Francis is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). As a skilled senior nursing facility in Johnson County, our residents receive the best care possible, even as their health needs change. Older adults who live with us find comfort in the stability we provide.

Charge Nurse Qualifications:

  • 1 year nursing experience preferred
  • LPN or RN License is required in the state Kansas
  • Valid CPR certification

Charge Nurse Essential Functions:

  • Assess and document residents' conditions and nursing needs
  • Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly
  • Assign nursing care to team members based on residents' needs and staff capabilities
  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate LPNs and CNAs
  • Administer medications
  • Perform treatments for assigned residents
  • Document treatments as required
  • Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is maintained safely
  • Other duties may be assigned

Charge Nurse Skills:

  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Effective communication with residents, families, and staff at all levels
  • Decisiveness and quick reaction in emergency situations
  • Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
  • Maintain confidentiality

Requirements:

  • 1 year nursing experience preferred
  • LPN or RN License required in Kansas
