Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, MN is seeking an LPN or RN to join our Transitional Care Unit (400 Wing) on a part-time basis. The role includes assessing and monitoring residents, notifying physicians and families of changes, and supervising nursing staff to ensure adherence to the care plan and center policies.

The position requires MN licensure as an LPN or RN and current CPR, with a preference for prior experience.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN or RN in Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provides dignified, respectful, resident-centered care for residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

• Supervises and monitors assigned staff to ensure compliance with resident plan of care and facility policy and procedures.
• Follow universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation, and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
• Uphold confidential information as required by Guardian Angels Care Center policy and procedure as related to HIPPA.
• All duties performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines, state and federal regulations.

Schedule

• 6:30am - 3pm Schedule.
• Part time, working 72 hours per pay period (2 Weeks).
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday.

Position Summary

The Nurse plays a crucial role in assessing (RN), observing (LPN), and monitoring the condition of assigned residents. They are responsible for promptly notifying physicians and family members of any changes in the resident's condition. They also supervise and monitor the nursing staff assigned to ensure compliance with the resident's plan of care and facility policies and procedures.
