Join our team as an LPN or Medical Assistant at the Vermillion Clinic. Sanford Health, with over 224 clinics and 46 medical centers, is one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the U.S. We are seeking caring, responsible, and empathetic individuals to assist with patient care across all ages in an ambulatory setting.

Location: Vermillion, SD | Address: 20 S Plum St, Vermillion, SD 57069 | Shift: Varies | Job Schedule: Full Time | Weekly Hours: 40 | Salary Range: MA

Facility: Vermillion Clinic

We offer a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants. The clinic operates Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 12 PM, and Sunday 12 PM to 4 PM. The role involves floating among providers in Family Medicine and Urgent Care, with a weekend rotation every 6-8 weeks including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Collect health data from patients and communicate it to healthcare providers
• Follow the patient's care plan under provider supervision
• Communicate care instructions to patients and caregivers
• Assist in all phases of patient care, including preventative care, treatment, and follow-up
• Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and perform point-of-care testing

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
• Prior healthcare experience preferred
• Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• State registration requirements vary; North Dakota requires MAIII registration within 4 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
