Job summary

SENTA Partners is seeking a LPN or Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative duties in a Gainesville, GA office. The role includes taking vitals, drawing blood, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting physicians during visits.

Responsibilities cover immunotherapy administration, patient education, and maintaining an aseptic environment. CPR preferred and EHR proficiency is expected. Prior outpatient/ENT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Proficient in using electronic health records systems.
• Basic computer applications knowledge required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Within the scope of credentials and licensure, LPN / Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, administering medications and injections as directed by physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the physician as instructed with patient care during office visits.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as skin testing, pulmonary function testing and drawing blood for laboratory tests.
• Administer immunotherapy injections and maintain extract and records of treatment.
• Treat emergency and priority patients, including the use of CPR, if necessary.
• Assist the physician with patients by telephone, including instructions to sick patients and prescription refills.
• Assist in management and treatment of reactions which occur secondary to immunotherapy.
• Maintain an aseptic environment appropriate for medical office.
• Educate patients on their physical condition, treatment plan, use of equipment and medication delivery devices, environmental controls and any other issues which may affect the patients' care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• For Medical Assistants: Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• For Licensed Practical Nurses: Active LPN and unrestricted license in the state of practice required
