Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to support the 52nd Avenue Clinic in Fargo, ND. The role runs 7:45 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.

You will assist physicians and nurses in ambulatory care and care for patients from newborn to elderly, in a busy primary care environment with on-site labs and imaging.

Qualifications

• ND LPN licensure required upon hire.
• MN LPN license within 3 months of hire.
• CMA registration or CMA program completion; certification within 1 year; pass within two attempts.
• CMA MAIII registration within 60 days of hire/transfer with North Dakota BON.
• BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, physician and other providers and deliver direct patient care in ambulatory care.
• Care for patients from newborn to elderly based on age categories.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in ND

Minnesota LPN license within 3 months

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) registration or CMA program completion

Medication Assistant III registration with North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days

AHA Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months
