Job summary
Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES seeks an Assistant Nurse Instructor - LPN (Anticipated) for Finger Lakes Tech and Career Center to support high school students in Health Careers and CNA prep. The 10-month, 0.9 FTE position requires NYS LPN certification and a NYS Teaching Assistant credential or pending completion within 90 days.
The role involves lab oversight, curriculum implementation to NYS standards, and coordinating guest speakers and field experiences.
Qualifications
- Must hold NYS LPN certification and have at least two years of LPN experience, including LTC/long-term care.
- Must have NYS Teaching Assistant certification or be able to obtain within 90 days.
- Must be physically capable of performing essential job duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist with instruction for high school students in Health Careers and CNA prep.
- Oversee labs providing hands-on CNA experience.
- Support curriculum implementation per NYS standards and DOH rules.
- Coordinate speakers, field trips, community service and shadowing experiences.
- Collaborate in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary learning environment.
