Job summary

Las Cruces Wellness is seeking a compassionate, motivated LPN/LVN to supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care in line with professional standards.

You will coordinate with physicians and other departments, follow policies and procedures, and participate in QA and infection control. Family and patient education are essential aspects of the role. State licensure and at least one year in nursing management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed LPN/LVN in state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and ensure it aligns with professional standards.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes, room changes, LOA, new admits and discharges.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Uses infection control guidelines and QA processes to monitor care.
• Coordinates care delivery per physician orders, policies, and procedures.

Objective

Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the HCR Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Q.A.A.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Practice Guide Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Locates and uses emergency equipment when necessary.

Qualifications
