Job summary

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Wallingford, CT, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Neuro/Spinal Cord Injury Specialty Unit (Lyman 2) on a 24-hour-per-week day shift (7:00am–3:30pm). The LPN provides comprehensive patient care under an RN, in a rehab-focused setting.

The ideal candidate holds a CT LPN license with current BLS/CPR certification; prior patient-care experience in rehabilitation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CT LPN license required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
• Patient care/healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients on rehabilitation units.
• Supports nursing care on Neuro/Spinal Cord Injury units.
• Maintains CT LPN licensure and BLS certification current.
