Job summary

MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the ambulatory pediatric care team at a Tacoma location. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care within an interdisciplinary clinic setting and supporting front and back office services.

You will triage patients, participate in treatment regimens, and contribute to a learning, patient‑centered environment while upholding Mary Bridge’s values and standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
  • Current LPN license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Two years of LPN experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uses nursing process to plan and deliver patient care.
  • Performs patient triage in person, by phone, and via secure messages.
  • Applies assessment and analysis to medical regimens as directed by physicians and RNs.
  • Delegates care tasks according to education and competence.
  • Collaborates with the clinic team to improve quality of care and patient experience.
  • Fosters a learning environment for patients and families.
  • Advocates for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: This position will generally work Monday through Friday but may need to flex time to occasionally accommodate community events on the weekends.

* Location: based at Oakland High School in Tacoma WA (3319 S Adams St, Tacoma, WA 98409)

* Injection experience in pediatric or family practice preferred

* Candidate must be self directed and willing to provide front and back office services

Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process as a systematic problem‑solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the patient
  • Performs patient triage in person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards
  • Utilizes assessment and analysis skills in delivering medical regimens as directed by physicians, advanced practice providers and registered nurses
  • Delegates selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence
  • Collaborates with the clinic team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and stewardship
  • Fosters a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
  • Advocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State or Multistate license endorsement (MLS)
  • Current basic life support certification (BLS)
  • Two years of experience as an LPN - in a clinic setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.40 - $43.75 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
