Job summary

Acacia Network in Buffalo, NY is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support methadone dispensing in our integrated outpatient program. Under supervision, you will perform nursing assessments, dispense medications, maintain records, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compliant care.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to DEA/OASAS/SAMSHA guidelines, and strong patient communication. A valid NY LPN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted NYS LPN license is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current NYS Infection Control certification is required (4 hours).
• Mandated reporter (2 hours) training required prior to hire.
• CASAC Ethics training is preferred.
• Confidentiality related to 42 CFR knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• Dispaty methadone dosages in accordance with clinic procedures and regulations.
• Maintain methadone dispensing logs and inventory records.
• Perform nursing assessments during each medication dispense.
• Collaborate with behavioral health and medical teams for OTP operations.
• Document findings and ensure accurate client records and care plans.
• Use electronic dispensing systems and comply with CLIA and safety standards.
