Job summary

The Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for a full-time day shift. Pay ranges from $26.50 to $32.94 per hour, depending on experience, in an acute inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment setting for adults and seniors.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient health, providing basic nursing care, administering medications, documenting care, and collaborating with nurses and physicians to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• One or more years' nursing experience in the clinical area of service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
• Provide for the basic comfort of patient and implement nursing interventions from the plan of care.
• Report status changes to registered nurses and doctors, and communicate with patient and staff professionally.
• Ensure safe delivery of medication according to policies and procedures.
• Maintain thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses and progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
