Job summary

CoxHealth is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the CMCB Endocrinology Care Clinic in Branson, Missouri. The LPN will perform key administrative and clinical responsibilities such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, measuring vital signs, and administering medications.

This role requires a graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program and a current LPN license in Missouri. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in Missouri is required.
• IV certification in the State of Missouri is preferred.
• Previous nursing experience, particularly in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
• Measure and record vital signs, and prepare patients for examination.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.

Job Description

The LPN performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. Clinical duties include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information, reviewing medication lists, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, stocking supplies, and administering medications as ordered by the physician. The LPN also performs specific competencies as directed by the department.

Education

Required: Graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program.

Experience

Preferred: Previous nursing experience, particularly in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversight.
• Proficient computer skills.

Licensure / Certification / Registration
