Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services seeks a Float Clinical Support Staff to provide one-on-one clinical support to a Nurse Practitioner across four clinics in the NW Region: Rogers, Champlin, Maple Grove, and Plymouth. You will rotate among clinics, delivering high-quality care and maintaining continuity of service.

This role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and ongoing professional development, with opportunities to transition into permanent roles as openings arise.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification for health professionals must be current (AHA or Red Cross).
  • LPN: graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold a current state license.
  • MA: graduate from a CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • EMT: graduate from an accredited EMT program and hold a Minnesota EMT License.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals (height, weight, blood pressure).
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed.
  • Perform procedures such as ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans as directed.
  • Ensure complete rooming process: med reconciliation, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and required forms.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Position Summary
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and appropriately document necessary visit information and vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • Prepare and administer medications, and immunizations as directed by a clinician, RN or following standing orders.
  • Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as administering ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
  • Ensure all components of the standard rooming process are completed, including medication reconciliation and pending refills, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and completion of appropriate forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of, and comply with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures, and standards.
Required Qualifications

BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required and must be maintained. On‑line BLS certification is not acceptable.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
  • Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and hold a current Minnesota EMT License.
Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in a related field of medicine.
