Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services is seeking LPNs, Medical Assistants, and EMTs to join our Primary Care team. As a Partner for Good, you will help improve the care and experience our patients and families receive daily.

Responsibilities include escorting patients, documenting vitals and visit details, administering medications/immunizations, assisting with procedures, and ensuring full rooming processes and paperwork. Active BLS certification is required; state licenses/credentials must be current.

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification required by AHA or Red Cross (online BLS not acceptable).
• Experience in healthcare settings is preferred.
• Ability to escort patients and document visit information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals.
• Prepare and administer medications/immunizations as directed.
• Assist with procedures and treatments (e.g., ear lavage, EKGs).
• Complete rooming processes: medication reconciliation, refills, allergies, immunization reconciliation, forms.

Park Nicollet is looking to hire LPNs, Medical Assistants, and EMTs to join our Primary Care team. As a Partner for Good, you will help make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

As part of our team, you will provide care for patients, which may include the following duties:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and appropriately documenting necessary visit information and vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
• Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as directed by a clinician, RN, or following standing orders.
• Performing and assisting with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as administering ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
• Ensuring all components of the standard rooming process are completed, including medication reconciliation, pending refills, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and completion of appropriate forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
• Maintaining knowledge of, and complying with, all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross (online BLS certification is not acceptable).

Required Credentials

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
• Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Must meet one of the following:
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current Minnesota EMT license.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in a related field of medicine.
