Job Overview

The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing high-quality care by administering medication and treatments safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, conducting SHUs, and delivering resident care in line with Sunrise Senior Living's mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors, complying with all relevant laws and policies.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications and treatments following the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
  • Documenting all medication activities accurately.
  • Monitoring residents' needs for 'as needed' medications and reporting accordingly.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.
  • Participating in resident care planning and team meetings.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and risk management policies.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed practical nurse (LPN, LVN) credential as per state/provincial requirements.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • At least 18 years old, with a preference for experience working with seniors.
  • Effective communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
