Job Overview

The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality care by administering medication and treatments safely and organized. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, conducting SHUs, and providing resident care in accordance with laws, standards, regulations, and Sunrise policies to promote quality care and services.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Support our Mission, Principles of Service, and Core Values, emphasizing the sacred value of human life.
  • Administer medications and treatments, document accurately, and ensure confidentiality.
  • Assess residents' needs for 'as needed' medications and report appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication and treatment areas.
  • Participate in resident care planning, updates, and team meetings.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA and infection control policies.
  • Report incidents, hazards, and occupational exposures immediately.
  • Contribute to team success through active participation, training, and potentially supervising shifts or other staff.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), LVN, or equivalent credential, with current certifications.
  • At least 18 years old, with previous senior care experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to serve and care for seniors.
  • Ongoing compliance with required certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
