Arc of Acadiana Inc. is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide hands-on nursing care in a residential setting for individuals with disabilities. You’ll monitor health, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana LPN license required.
• Experience in residential or long-term care preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
• Compassion, patience, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• Genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a residential setting and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Perform skilled nursing tasks such as medication administration, wound care, tube feedings, catheterization, respiratory treatments, and other prescribed treatments.
• Collaborate closely with DSPs, supervisors, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate with physicians as needed and report changes in residents’ conditions.
