Job summary

State of Nebraska in Lincoln seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Reception and Treatment Center. You will provide patient care in a clinic within a correctional facility, administer medications, transcribe orders, triage, and assist with patient movement.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Nebraska or authority under the Nurse Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care in a clinic or hospital setting within a correctional institution.
• Administer medications, transcribe and carry out doctors' orders, assess patients using protocols, triage, respond to emergencies.
• Assist in moving inmate patients and handling inventory/ordering of supplies and medications.
