State of Nebraska is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women in York, NE. IMMEDIATE OPENINGS with varying shifts and a starting wage of $40.00/hour plus a $3.00/hour facility differential and $1.50–$2.50 shift differential.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) employs nearly 2,300 team members operating institutions statewide, which house approximately 5,800 inmates. Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

A current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Nebraska is required.

Other

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Will complete four to eight weeks of on the job training. Must submit to background security check. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the pre-employment medical examination and a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NDCS Pre-service Training Program.
