Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing with an active Florida LPN license or, alternatively, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: Pediatrics experience.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.
