Job description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an LPN, Medical Assistant, or EMT to join our Women’s Services team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

As a part of our team, you will be providing care for patients which may include the following duties:

  1. Escorting patients to exam rooms and appropriately documenting necessary visit information and vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
  2. Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as directed by a clinician, RN, or following standing orders.
  3. Performing and assisting with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as administering ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
  4. Ensuring all the components of the standard rooming process are completed including medication reconciliation and pending refills, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and completion of appropriate forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
  5. Maintaining knowledge of, and complying with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Work Schedule:

Schedule varies Clinic Hours 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

32 hours weekly

Required Qualifications:

We are open to filling this position with an LPN, MA, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. Online BLS certification is not acceptable.

Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. Online BLS certification is not acceptable.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. Online BLS certification is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
