Job summary

Park Nicollet Urgent Care is hiring a patient-focused LPN/MA/EMT to join our urgent care team. You will escort patients, document vitals, and support clinical workflows in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires LPN/MA/EMT licensure with current BLS certification; prior healthcare experience is desirable. Work hours align with clinic scheduling, including varied shifts and weekends at Park Nicollet Urgent Care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LPN, MA, or EMT license.
• Current BLS certification for health professionals required and maintained (online BLS not acceptable).
• One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and accurately document visit information and vitals (height, weight, blood pressure).
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by a clinician or standing orders.
• Perform and assist with procedures and treatments such as ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
• Ensure all components of the rooming process are completed including med reconciliation, refills, allergy review and immunization reconciliation.
• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards.

SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE Park Nicollet is looking to hire a LPN/MA/EMT to join our Urgent Care team!

Position Summary:

As a part of our team, you will be providing care for patients which may include the following duties:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and appropriately documenting necessary visit information and vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
• Preparing and administering medications, and immunizations as directed by a clinician, RN or following standing orders.
• Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as administering, ear lavage, EKG’s, and bladder scans.
• Ensuring all the components are of the standard rooming process are completed including medication reconciliation and pending refills, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, completion of appropriate forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
• Maintaining knowledge of, and complying with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures, and standards.

Clinic Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturdays & Sundays8:00am-5:00pm, Holiday's 8:00am-5:00pm

Work Schedule:

6 or 12 hour shifts M-F, Every 3rd weekend Friday 2 pm - 8 pm followed by Saturday/Sunday 745 am - 5 pm

Required Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

OR

Medical Assistant (MA):

• Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

OR

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT):

High school diploma or GED and current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

• Must meet one of the following:
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience OR
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current Minnesota EMT License
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
