Park Nicollet Urgent Care in Minnesota is hiring LPN, MA or EMT to join our urgent care team. You will provide direct patient care, escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals, medications and immunizations as directed.

You will assist with procedures such as EKGs and bladder scans, maintain rooming standards, complete forms, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state license.
• Graduate from a CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting program and current BLS.
• High school diploma or GED with Minnesota EMT license and BLS.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document visit information and vitals.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations under orders by clinician.
• Assist with procedures such as EKGs, bladder scans, and ear lavages.
• Maintain rooming processes including med reconciliation and allergy review.
• Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a LPN/MA/EMT to join our Urgent Care team!

Position Summary

As a part of our team, you will be providing care for patients which may include the following duties:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and appropriately documenting necessary visit information and vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
• Preparing and administering medications, and immunizations as directed by a clinician, RN or following standing orders.
• Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as administering, ear lavage, EKG’s, and bladder scans.
• Ensuring all the components are of the standard rooming process are completed including medication reconciliation and pending refills, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, completion of appropriate forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
• Maintaining knowledge of, and complying with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures, and standards.

Clinic Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturdays & Sundays8:00am-5:00pm, Holiday's 8:00am-5:00pm

Work Schedule

6- or 12-hour shifts M-F, 9 hour shifts every 3rd weekend. 1 holiday/year at St. Louis Park Urgent Care

Required Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

OR

Medical Assistant (MA):

• Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

OR

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): High school diploma or GED and current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

• Must meet one of the following:
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience OR
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current Minnesota EMT License
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
