• Graduate of an approved school of practical or vocational nursing and/or licensure verification via NLNAC.
• Exceptions include grandfathering provisions and military education/experience as allowed by VA policy.

Responsibilities

• Notifies supervisory staff nurse and/or supervisor of changes in patient condition.
• Provides direct nursing care to patients aged 18 through adulthood.
• Completes clinical reminders and documents patient care appropriately.
• Administers prescribed medications and participates in emergency procedures as needed.
• Follows policies and coordinates with RN/MD/DO for patient care.
