Job summary

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide practical nursing care in a clinic setting for a diverse patient population. The role emphasizes assessment, documentation, patient education, and coordinated care under RN/MD supervision.

The incumbent will perform routine nursing duties, administer medications per policy, and support clinic operations while maintaining patient privacy and dignity in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the State agency and/or NLNAC at program completion.
• Active, current and unrestricted LPN/LVN licensure in the US or DC.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Ability to observe, report and record relevant patient information.
• Ability to provide care to diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Open continuous announcements; applications referred as vacancies become available.
• Provide a full range of practical nursing care to patients with various conditions.
• Document information in the patient record and report deviations to RN or provider.
• Educate patients and families on common diseases, medications, and treatment plans.
• Perform routine evaluations of patients in the clinic setting.
