Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team in Augusta, GA. The LPN will deliver high-quality direct patient care under clinical supervision and coordinate with a psychiatric treatment program for residents in our residential units.

Key duties include safety and crisis management, medical assessment and management, and supporting a therapeutic environment for adults and adolescents with mental illness

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Georgia (or eligible to receive/renew).
• CPR or BLS certification current.
• Driver's license required.
• Prefer one year psychiatric experience in acute hospital or residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety, supervision and crisis management.
• Provide assessment and medical management, and support therapeutic environment.
• Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients with mental illness, behavioral disturbances, or related issues.

LCCA currently has exciting opportunities for exceptional Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the Lighthouse Nursing Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient‑centric strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high‑quality and cost‑effective treatment and medication management is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The LPN is expected to deliver quality direct care of patients under appropriate clinical supervision, to residents with psychiatric disorders admitted to the residential units.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• To provide safety, supervision and crisis management.
• To provide assessment and medical management, and to support the management of a therapeutic environment.
• Responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
