Cabrillo Hospice in La Mesa, California, is looking for a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide hands-on patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Reports To: Team Leader

About The Role

We’re looking for an LVN who is compassionate, reliable, and passionate about patient care. In this role, you’ll provide direct care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, follow the plan of care, and work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives the support they need.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide hands‑on care to patients as allowed by the State Nurse Practice Act
  • Carry out care plans based on assessments and patient needs
  • Document visits clearly and on time
  • Help educate patients and families so they feel informed and supported
  • Communicate patient needs to the wider hospice team (aides, therapists, social workers, dietitians, supervisors, etc.)
  • Use equipment and resources safely and responsibly
  • Support pain and symptom management, and monitor how patients respond
  • Participate in training, development, and quality initiatives
  • Assist with other tasks as requested by the RN
What We’re Looking For
