Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN for Long Term Care. This evening contract role requires managing patient care in a facility, coordinating with others, and making clinical judgments. Candidates must hold a valid LPN license and have at least one year of nursing experience. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits including health and retirement plans are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse License for the relevant state is required.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
• Current health certificate and BLS card required.

• Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the LPN practices with a score of 80% or greater.
• Successful completion of Background Screening Process.

Overview

LPN/LVN Long Term Care (LTC) -Evenings Contract role at Amergis Healthcare Staffing.

The Long Term Care LPN/LVN assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of care for patients in a Long Term Care/Assisted Living Facility. The nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision, as well as critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. This individual performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care/Assisted Living Facility.
• Make clinical judgments and coordinate patient care under supervision.
• Support and assist others in the management of patient care according to nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS card
• Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the LPN practices with a score of 80% or greater
• Successful completion of Background Screening Process
