Job summary

Carillon Senior Living in West Texas seeks an experienced Licensed Professional Nurse to join its Health Center team. The role focuses on direct nursing care, supervision of support staff, and ensuring care plans are followed with compassionate resident-centered service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
• Maintains a current license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners for Vocational Nursing.
• Have a current Basic Life Support (CPR – Healthcare Provider) card.
• At least one year experience as charge nurse in a geriatric setting preferred.
• Has effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Accurately administers medications and treatments and documents all medications.
• Informs physician or nurse manager of changes in resident condition or incidents.
• Ensures each resident’s Care Plan is followed to meet needs and state requirements.
• Supervises and assists CNAs and other nursing staff, delegating assignments.
• Conducts walking rounds with departing nurse and frequent visual/physical assessments.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensures transfer, discharge, and admission information is complete.
