Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join the Covington area hospital. The LVN/LPN provides nursing care under RN direction, gathers and reports data, and carries out orders with attention to age-appropriate care and PAM Health policies.

Requirements include active LPN/LVN licensure in-state or compact licensure, BLS certification (AHA-approved within 90 days), and IV certification if required by state rules. Inpatient MS experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Holds current licensure as LPN/LVN in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required and must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if state regulations require it.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN on the unit and function to collect and report data, and carry out orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner in line with PAM Health policies.
