Description:This position is part of the LPN pool and rotates weekends and holidays with the LPN pool.Every third weekend and every third holiday.The main job duties are direct patient care and medication delivery.Responsibilities include medication supply, screenings, and delegated treatments/tasks.The position will work in the medication room and administer medications.Annual health maintenance screenings are also part of the duties.Cross-training in the lab is required.This task is crucial for the daily operation of the health services unit.The role involves administering facility injections, including MAT/MOUD and biologics.Nurse-controlled insulin administration and assisted blood sugar checks are part of the duties.The LPN is also able to assist with injections, annual health screenings, and diabetic care.Emergency support is provided by this position.Response to emergencies is expected alongside the emergency RN with necessary supplies.Accurate documentation of events, orders, and vitals is essential for reporting.The position is vital for medication administration during nurse pill passes.Maintaining adequate supply of medications is a key responsibility.The role includes ordering/requesting medications, storing them, and administering them properly.It is crucial to ensure that patients receive vital medications.Wound care and treatment responsibilities also fall within this position.
