Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an LPN/LVN for a 26-week assignment at a female correctional facility. You will administer nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed provider, monitor patients, take vital signs, assist with exams and procedures, and provide bedside support during shifts from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The role requires a valid LPN license, current BLS/CPR certification, and at least 1 year of general RN experience.

Description:Administers nursing care within scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare provider.Administers oxygen and applies sterile dressings.Inserts catheters and reinserts gastrotomy tubes.Suction and irrigate wounds.Gives enemas and douches, and collects specimens.Performs dialysis treatments, operates hemodialysis equipment, and monitors patients during procedures.Assists healthcare providers with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.Provides emergency assistance by administering first-aid and performing CPR.Administers controlled and non-controlled medications in various forms.Maintains medication accountability records, charts patient records, and prepares related reports.Observes, documents, and reports patient conditions and responses.Provides general nursing, direct care, and assistance with daily living activities.Takes patient vital signs and assists with personal grooming and hygiene.Repositions patients and responds to alarms.Makes medical appointments for patients and escorts them as needed.Provides assistance and training to lower-level direct care staff.Attends and participates in staff meetings and training programs.Orders medication and medical supplies as necessary.Cleans and sterilizes the medication room and performs clerical tasks.This is an all-female facility.Please ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted for consideration.
