Aiken Physicians Alliance is seeking a licensed practical/vocational nurse to deliver nursing care under physician supervision. You will interview patients, measure vitals, perform venipuncture, prepare rooms, and assist at the front desk as needed.

You will administer treatments and medications, monitor progress, document in the EMR, and educate patients and families about health status and chronic conditions. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred, with an emphasis on compassionate care.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of LPN/LVN nursing training from an accredited school.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Current state registered license for LPN/LVN.
• Minimum of one year working as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment room s for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions

Qualifications

Education Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training and Travel

Education

• Completion of LPN/LVN nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of one (1) year college or Technical School. Associates Degree preferred.

• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

• Current state registered license for LPN/LVN

Work experience

• Minimum of one (1) year working as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse required.

Knowledge

• General medical office procedures

Skills

• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

• Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions
