Job summary

The Earlwood Center in Torrance, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our healthcare team for overnight full-time shifts 11pm-7am.

You will provide a full range of nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, including admitting/transferring/discharging residents, medication administration, daily rounds, and maintaining patient confidentiality while promoting safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have LVN/LPN licensure to practice in California.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Basic computer literacy or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
• Conducting daily rounds to observe residents' physical and emotional status.
• Medication administration.
• Monitoring resident care provided by unlicensed staff.

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN), You Will Put Resident Service First And Ensure That Residents And Their Families Receive The Highest Quality Care. Under The Direction Of a Registered Nurse, You Will Deliver a Full Range Of Nursing Care. This Includes, But Is Not Limited To

• Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
• Conducting daily rounds to observe the resident’s physical and emotional status.
• Medication administration.
• Monitoring resident care provided by unlicensed staff.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Promoting a culture of safety to ensure a healthy practice and living environment.

Must Have

• LVN / LPN with current licensure to practice in the state
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn

Nice To Have

• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
• Nursing experience providing direct care to multiple residents
• Behavioral care / memory care experience
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC)
