Job summary

Grifols, S.A. is seeking a Center Medical Specialist to support donor health assessments at our Iowa plasma donation centers. You will perform medical history reviews, establish donor suitability, and educate donors on general health and test results.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, donor safety, and coordination with staff to maintain high-quality donor care. CPR certification and an active state license (LPN/LVN/RN) are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as LPN, LVN or RN.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examination and establish donor medical history for donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors on health matters and counsel on test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Assess illness/medication history to ensure continued donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training.
• Administer Hepatitis vaccine program for employees.

About the Job

Job Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse or Registered Nurse.

• CPR certification required.
