Job summary

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state is required.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience is required.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically PointClickCare.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in and assists with the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
