Job summary

Good Samaritan – Woodland in Brainerd, MN seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN nursing care in a 42-bed long-term care facility. The role includes medication administration and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to support resident health and well-being.

The position offers shift diversity with weekend and evening incentives and an option for education assistance with a robust benefits package. Must have a valid LPN license and be able to work a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If IV therapy/management is required, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Demonstrate nursing knowledge and competency per care plans and standards.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to ensure resident safety and comfort.
