Good Samaritan in International Falls, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care. Under supervision of a registered nurse or physician, you will implement care plans, monitor residents, and administer medications as ordered.

This PRN role offers shift flexibility with day, evening, and overnight options, weekend and holidays may be required.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.

Responsabilidades

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medications, behaviors, activities, and diet.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and health care providers.
• Maintain confidentiality and work as part of an interdisciplinary care team.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Associate degree in Practical Nursing (preferred)

IV therapy/management training (North Dakota)

pre-licensure nursing program with clinical experience across lifespan or 400 hours LPN experience
