Job summary

MercyOne Centerville Medical Center in Centerville, IA is seeking a Part Time Evening Registered Nurse (2pm-10:30pm) to join a 25-bed critical-access hospital delivering emergency/trauma stabilization, acute and skilled care including cancer, heart and vascular, neurology, pediatrics, primary care, surgery, therapy and rehab.

You will provide nursing services to assure resident safety and well-being, using the nursing process, following physician orders, and leading care teams while promoting

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Iowa
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
• Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training 30 days upon hire and recertification every 5 years

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluation.
• Executes regimen prescribed by physician within guidelines of nursing practice.
• Performs and/or supervises activities/functions which require knowledge and skill level currently ascribed to the licensed practical nurse and seeks assistance when these are beyond scope of preparation.
• Provides leadership and direction in the supervision of others in carrying out the nursing process.

Job Summary / Purpose
Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients. Registered nurses provide nursing services to assure resident safety and attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident, as determined by resident assessment and implementing plan of care.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities

Minimum QualificationsRequired Licensure and Certifications Current RN license in State of Iowa, Current basic Life Support for Healthcare providers from American heart Association Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training 30 days upon hire and recertification every 5 years. Obtains education requires for license renewal
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesWorks to promote a positive atmosphere in LTC

• Provides direct care to the residents (feeding, bathing, dressing, ambulation, stock supply room, pass water .linens etc.)
• Communicate changes in resident’s condition to appropriate members of the health care team
• Follow universal precautions for infection control
• Correctly using mechanical devices for moving ,lifting and transferring residents to promote safety
