Job summary

Qualifications

• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
• Must have long term care experience.
• Experience with electronic charting systems (POINT CLICK CARE).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Implements the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admissions, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and follows physician orders as allowed by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
