Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a LVN/LPN for a traveler assignment in Alaska's Long Term Care facilities. 4x12 night 12-hour shifts, start ASAP, 13-week contract with 60 hours every two weeks guaranteed. Must have AK license in hand, BLS, and travel experience. Local candidates are not required, and flex shifts will be as needed by facilities.

Open to dedicated nurses willing to work 4x12 schedules; housing and travel logistics handled by TalentBurst for eligible clinicians.

Qualifications

• AK license in hand and BLS certification required.
• 1 year of LTAC or long-term care experience.
• Travel experience required for assignment.
• Care provider must be able to work 60 hours per 2 weeks (guaranteed).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and document in charting system.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status; report changes to RN/MD.
• Care for LTC residents including ortho, neuro, and rehab support.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines.
• Support patient mobility and daily living activities.

Night Shift 12 hours/day 4 days/week

-Note that caregivers are not asked to rotate between night/day shifts (occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs). Shifts will be either Days or Nights, but dependent on facility needs at time of start date.

All caregivers are required to obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification as a requirement of working in a LTC facility. Clinicans will obtain certification during orientation on-site at the facility. They do not need to complete this prior to their start date. There is a one-time *** fee for this certification.

RTO Restrictions: No more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26 Week Contract, Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). Preference is for traveler's to be willing/able to work any holidays. All RTO must be sent with submittal. RTO will not be considered if requested after an offer or after signing contract.
Guaranteed Hours: 60 Hours per 2 weeks - Traveler can be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
