Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation Smithfield in Smithfield, VA is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support daily resident care under the supervision of an RN or Nursing Director.

You will administer medications, participate in care planning, and guide CNAs to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing services for residents and their families in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Active LPN license in Virginia is required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) monitors the resident, participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel. **What you will do** * Medications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders.* Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.* Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered.
