Job summary

Quality Correctional Health Care in Grant County is seeking an LPN to provide nursing services within a correctional setting under physician direction. The role requires a valid LPN license, CPR, and at least one year of clinical experience in health care, preferably in a correctional environment.

The position offers competitive pay ($28/hr) with a $4.00/hr shift differential, and benefits including malpractice insurance, 401K matching, and PayActiv access.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
• Current CPR required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN.
• One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond and intervene to all emergency situations.
• Conduct Patient Intake paperwork.
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medication.
• Conduct Sick Call clinic.
• Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy.
• Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
• Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs.
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit.
• Monitor for, report and document changes in patient’s condition.
• Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions.
• Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
• Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Description

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment. The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Shift differential $4.00/hr

Requirements:

• Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
• Current and valid LPN or LVN license
• Current CPR
