Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Boise, located in Boise, ID, is a 40-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular issues, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you get to know your patients and their families.


Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, including all aspects of patient care, incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The LPN/LVN ensures the unit functions smoothly, organized, and efficiently under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of nursing care. Key components include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality, establishing professional relationships, utilizing professional skills, fulfilling hospital responsibilities, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Required Skills
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • IV Certification.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • One (1) year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
  • Three (3) years of medical/surgical experience (preferred).
  • One (1) year of area-specific experience (preferred).
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal drug use and effects of substance use in the workplace.
