Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas, located in Mandan, ND, is a 41-bed Critical Care Hospital providing long-term acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular issues, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced, friendly environment where you get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, including all aspects of patient care, incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The staff LPN/LVN ensures the unit functions smoothly, organized, and efficiently, as directed by the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of nursing care. Key components include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality, establishing professional relationships, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• IV Certification.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Three years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• One year of area-specific experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
• Free from illegal drug use and effects of substances in the workplace.
