Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania is seeking a LPN to provide personal care on a part-time basis. Shifts include Mondays 7:00 a.m. – 7:15 p.m. and alternating Thursdays 7:00 p.m. – 7:15 a.m. The position starts at $33 per hour and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current LPN licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required (prior to or upon employment).

Responsibilities

• Organize, deliver and direct professional nursing care to residents.
• Collect data on residents and document conditions and care provided.
• Perform weekly resident rounds with the physician and transcribe orders as required.

What You'll Do:

As a LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse - Personal Care, you will carry out our Mission of Love by being responsible to organize, deliver and direct professional nursing care to residents.

Our LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse - Personal Care, is responsible for the following:

• Collects data on residents and accurately documents residents' condition in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, the resident's response to the care, and medical assessment of the resident. Completes assigned paperwork, i.e., wound documentation, MARS, TARS, Care Plans, etc. on each resident on assigned resident care unit
• Performs clinical testing such as glucometer and pulse oximetry as necessary. Administers ordered medications and treatments as approved, including monitoring of IV fluids. Monitors effectiveness of medications and treatments.
• Prepares for and performs weekly resident rounds with the physician. Accepts physician's orders including verbal/telephone orders as appropriate and compliant with regulations and nursing practice. Transcribe physician's orders to residents' charts and care plans as required.

What You Need as a LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse - Personal Care:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current LPN licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required (prior to or upon employment).
