Position: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Hospitalist 2 - PM (601) (T226666)

Description:

Compensation: Pay Range: $22.90 - $37.25/hour. Shift Available: Weekend PM shift. UAB Medicine supports work/life balance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care based on the nursing process, hospital standards, and policies.
  • Orient patients and families, acting as a patient advocate.
  • Collect assessment data and notify RNs of potential issues.
  • Evaluate patient responses, document care, respond to emergencies, and meet educational needs.
  • Serve as a role model for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program (work experience not a substitute).
  • Licensed or licensed by endorsement as an LPN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Additional certifications like ACLS or PALS may be required depending on the department.
