Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • IV Certification.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts, located in New Bedford, MA, is a 90-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly environment where you can build close relationships with patients and their families.


Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, including patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The staff LPN/LVN ensures the unit functions smoothly and efficiently under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, supervision of nursing care, and demonstrating clinical competence. The role also involves managing patient care, improving quality, establishing professional relationships, and developing clinical expertise.


Required Skills
  • Current, valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • IV Certification.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Three (3) years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of area-specific experience preferred.
  • Professional image and knowledge of regulatory standards.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications used in job functions.
  • Drug and alcohol-free workplace.
